History
After spending around 13 years skiing in various places St.Anton, Whistler, Val D'Isere, Tignes, Les Arcs, Livigno, Ste Foy, La Rosiere and Serre Chevallier, 5 years ago I decided that I would like to purchase a property within an alpine setting and after skiing many varied places and after spending the majority of my skiing in the area containing Val, Tignes, Les Arcs, Ste Foy and La Rosiere I decided that the Tarentaise/Savoie region was my favourite and have been a proud owner of an apartment in Bourg-Saint-Maurice since 2003.

Places in Bourg-Saint-Maurice
The town of Bsm is the main town in the valley with a population of 6,000, but this can easily double at peak times in winter or summer.
Also the town is directly served via Eurostar, TGV and the snowtrain from Calais (the Eurostar now goes from St. Pancras Station, London) and takes around 8 hours, usually arriving in Bsm between 6.30-8am depending on day or evening timetables.
The train station in Bsm is only a short 10 minutes walk from the apartment, also there is a Europecar hire firm at the top of the road if you want to hire a car during your stay. There are also many restaurants in Bsm which serve Mexican, Thai, Cantonese meals and also traditional local restaurants that are all family owned and run, which serve fantastic local cuisine. These restaurants will serve a starter, main coarse, sweet, cheese boared with wine, coffee and D'igestive (not the biscuits but a brandy, whisky
or the regionally produced genepi) for around
£16 - £25 per person.
